JASPER, AL (October 11, 2008) - Congratulations to the University of Alabama’s Crimson Tide Bass Anglers on their hard fought win of the inaugural CBAA Bayou Regional  Crown.  Crimson Tide anglers Rusty Jones, Daniel Statum, Joe Humphries and Warren Hoffman fished hard for nine Smith Lake keepers for 12.25 pounds to claim the championship.  Competitors related that a good number of fish were caught by all teams, but the low water levels (13’ below full pool) and scattered bait fish made locating and catching non-slot fish a big challenge, but one that nearly 80 percent of the field managed to do.  Additional Bayou coverage to come…
